Our Commitment
SupplementQuotes® is committed to digital accessibility and is actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. SupplementQuotes® does not currently claim full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and has not been independently audited or certified by a third party. This document outlines implemented accessibility features, identified limitations, and instructions for requesting assistance or reporting access barriers.
Implemented Features
The following measures have been verified against rendered pages on the live site:
- Document Language: Programmatic primary language declarations are present on all pages.
- Heading Structure: Content and guide pages utilize a logical heading hierarchy featuring a single <h1> element per page. Documented exceptions are recorded under Known Limitations.
- Non-Text Content: Informational images include appropriate alternative text attributes (alt), and purely decorative icons are programmatically hidden from assistive technologies using aria-hidden="true".
- Link and Button Semantics: Navigation links contain valid target destinations, and interactive buttons on public-facing pages feature explicit accessible names.
- Form Labels: Every input, selection and text area on public-facing forms is programmatically associated with its visible label, so assistive technologies announce the purpose of each field rather than an unnamed control.
- Keyboard Navigation & Structure: A "Skip to main content" link is the initial focusable element via keyboard navigation, and primary page content is enclosed within a <main> landmark element.
- Focus Indicators: Visual focus indicators are enabled across all interactive elements, supporting full keyboard operation.
- Color Contrast: Body copy, navigation and interface controls are measured against their rendered backgrounds and meet WCAG Level AA minimum contrast ratio thresholds. Remaining shortfalls are recorded under Known Limitations.
- Motion Reduction: User-agent preferences for reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion) are automatically respected to disable non-essential animations.
Known Limitations
We maintain an ongoing log of known accessibility limitations across our platform:
- Audits and Documentation: SupplementQuotes® has not undergone a formal third-party accessibility audit and does not currently publish a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).
- Manual Screen Reader Testing: While automated evaluations are conducted, full manual screen reader testing across every page view remains in progress.
- Authenticated Portals: Portal areas requiring authentication — including application dashboards, the deal room, order tracking, and administrative interfaces — have not undergone the same level of accessibility review as public-facing pages and the quote request workflow.
- Heading Structure Exceptions: Three views — the blog index, the quote request form and the sign-in screen — do not currently declare a top-level <h1> element. Three guide pages advance from <h1> directly to <h3>, skipping an intermediate level.
- Contrast Shortfalls: Small-format text inside the illustrative interface graphics on the Why Us page, the article metadata on blog listings, and the contents rail on the manufacturing guide fall below the Level AA contrast threshold. These are queued for remediation.
- Decorative Gradients: A number of elements sit on gradient backgrounds, which automated contrast tooling cannot resolve. These are treated as unverified rather than passing, and are being reviewed manually.
- System-Generated Documents: Platform-generated documentation, including exported purchase orders and invoices, has not yet been audited for PDF accessibility tags or structural trees.
- User-Uploaded Content: Third-party media files uploaded by platform users, such as product label artwork or compliance certificates, fall outside our direct authoring control.
Testing Methodology
SupplementQuotes® evaluates live, rendered DOM elements rather than uncompiled source code. Contrast ratios are measured against actual background colors, headings and landmarks are verified within live document structures, and keyboard navigation is tested sequentially through the document object model. Where automated scan flags appear inconsistent, manual verification is performed prior to remediation.
Automated scanning tools represent a baseline testing mechanism; they do not fully evaluate auditory comprehension or screen reader UX logic.
Reporting Access Barriers
If you encounter an accessibility barrier or experience difficulty navigating any portion of SupplementQuotes®, please contact us at info@supplementquotes.com with the specific web address (URL) and a summary of the issue. We aim to acknowledge and address inquiries within five business days.
If you require immediate access to information or services that are currently inaccessible — such as a quote request, order status update, or transaction record — please state your request in your email, and our team will fulfill it via an alternative accessible format.
Third-Party Dependencies
Certain platform functions rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers outside our direct control. Where technical constraints originate from external vendor services, we will identify those limitations accordingly.
